Hana — Privacy Policy

Hana is built to collect as little about you as technically possible — effectively nothing reaches us. Hana is a small app that lets you share your current mood, expressed as weather, with family members you invite.

What we collect

Nothing. The developer of Hana operates no servers, no analytics, and no advertising. We have no database of users and no way to see your check-ins, notes, or who you share with.

Where your data lives

Your check-ins (a weather value, an optional short note, and a timestamp) are stored in your own iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit, and in a local copy on your device. This data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. The Hana developer cannot access it.

Sharing with family

When you invite a family member, Apple's CloudKit creates a private, read-only share of your weather. Only people who open your invite link can see your current weather, your week, and any note — and only until you remove them or pause sharing. The people you share with are chosen by you; we never see or store that list.

Identity & accounts

Hana has no sign-up, no passwords, and no accounts of its own. Your identity is simply the Apple ID already signed in to your device. We do not receive your email, name, or Apple ID.

Notifications

Reminders and family-update alerts are delivered by Apple's notification system. We do not run a notification server that sees your activity.

Children

Hana is a personal, family-oriented app and is not directed at children under 13. It collects no data from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated date above will change. Because we collect nothing, changes will be minimal.
